Project Overview

We designed a web application that integrates multiple logistics functions, from setting rates to streamlined billing, for logistics companies. The app equips operators to monitor ongoing loads and promptly address unexpected issues. Additionally, the application efficiently manages driver and truck resources.

Challenges

Our task involved collaborating with a development team to create designs that cater to user needs, including multiple dashboards for different user roles, as well as gathering insights from stakeholders. The product design was successfully set and is currently undergoing continuous enhancements.

Drawing from stakeholder insights and user needs, we designed a user-centric dashboard that encompasses a range of features, including the ability for specific user role types to look at only the information they want to see. The product is presently in the development stage.

Process

  1. We conducted client interviews to gather requirements and comprehend how logistics operators handle load monitoring and troubleshooting in real-time situations.
  2. We mapped out user flows, focusing on creating seamless processes for setting rates, managing billing, and addressing unexpected load issues.
  3. We designed, iterated, and prototyped a low-fidelity mockup, subjecting it to evaluation by stakeholders and a select user group to ensure acceptance and usability.
  4. Our team generated high-fidelity mockups and development assets, crucial for the development team's efforts.
